Shirt Design Contest

Update 3/20/12: For those of you expressing interested in a water bottle you may pick one up at Olde Saratoga Bike and Board in Schuylerville, NY starting 3/28/12.

Thank you all for your excellent submissions – there were a number of possible winners for this contest. For the purposes of this year’s theme, we chose the design by Kristina Feigel of Saratoga Springs. Kristina graduated from Syracuse University in 2010 with a BFA in Advertising Design. After graduating from SU she moved from her New Jersey home to Saratoga Springs, NY, where she currently works as a Graphic Designer for the United Group of Companies in Troy, NY. Congrats Kristina! Here’s the design:

If you submitted one of the above designs, we’d be happy to refer you to other race directors we know who may be interested in your current work or working with you in the future. We also have water bottles from our 2011 event that you can pick up if you live in the Capital District. Please see this page for details as well as some other questions. Contest

We’re currently seeking t-shirt design submissions for the 2012 Lake George Open Water Swim. If you’re a designer, or know a designer, you have a chance to win:

  • $250 cash prize
  • Free race entry (to giveaway or use yourself – this includes a race goodie bag)
  • Additional race goodie bag

We ask that designs be professional and capture the spirit of Lake George and open water swimming. The words “Hague, NY” should be somewhere in the design as well. Designs can be submitted to events@greenleafracing.com.

We have extended the deadline to March 7, 2012.

Please note: The winning design becomes the property of Lake George Open Water Swim/Green Leaf Racing, LLC and may be used on other event-related merchandise, posters etc.

We reserve the right to not select a winning design if we feel the entries do not meet what we’re looking for. On the other hand we may choose multiple winners if they do!

Thank you everyone for your interest thus far.  What we will do is close the contest at the end of day March 7. Our race committee will then confer and then award the winner on March 12. You will be notified by e-mail if you are the winner. When we have confirmed everything with you, including the process of transferring files and payment, the winning design will be posted on this page.

If you are a swimmer in the event and you have the winning design you will win $250 cash, free race entry and an additional goodie bag. If you are not a swimmer and have no interest in participating you will receive $250 cash and two goodie bags. These goodies bags will each include a race apparel item with your winning logo on it. Race entries are not redeemable for cash.
